New Graduate Assistant Orientation

All new graduate assistants are expected to attend orientation.

4:15-4:30 -- Check in, Lobby of Garvey Commons

4:30-5:15 -- Dinner at Garvey (Garvey can accommodate most food allergies, intolerance, and preferences) If you have specific concerns email Melanie at mjguentzel@stcloudstate.edu by August 15. 

5:30 -- 7:30 -- Orientation Session,  Cascade Room, Atwood Center

Open parking is available in the N Lot from 4-8 pm for GA Orientation.

Orientation goals

Graduate assistants who complete orientation will:

• Be able to locate and articulate policies affecting graduate assistantship employment.
• Articulate the roles and responsibilities of graduate assistants on campus.
• Define and provide examples of professional behavior.
• Articulate the resources available to graduate assistants.
